About Babb Lumber

Babb Lumber Company operates a lumber mill and lumber sales in Ringgold, Georgia with a service area including Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, and Kentucky. Babb Lumber customers include builders, contractors, farmers, and home owners.

The Babb Family has been in the lumber business in Georgia since 1835. The current Ringgold operations were founded as Babb & Sons Lumber Company in 1953 by Walter W. Babb and sons Herchel & Jack. Both Herchel and Jack were active in the business until their passing. Current family members involved in the business are Steve Babb, Jason Babb, and Roger Babb.

The Ringgold lumber mill produces southern yellow pine lumber, poplar, oak, maple, cherry, and eastern cedar. The mill includes a specialty sawmill for production of custom size lumber and beams and a moulder for pattern stock.
